In the context of the AI game enthusiast community, a character card refers to a PNG image that contains all the essential information about a character.
Currently RPGGO does not support the upload and decrypt of a PNG character card. In this doc, we are talking about how to transform content from a JSON file into RPGGO's creator system.
This data is often stored in a JSON file, which includes attributes such as the character’s name, personality traits, preferences, and other relevant details. See more about the attributes of the JSON file from Github of Silly Tavern
The JSON data is embedded within the PNG image's metadata, usually utilizing EXIF (Exchangeable Image File Format). This approach allows the image to visually represent the character while carrying all the necessary information to define the character's behavior when loaded into an AI application.
What you need in RPGGO is the JSON FILE in this version.
The composition of a character card can vary depending on the writer's preferences and skills. Different cards may include various types of information and have different token sizes. Following are examples of information a character card may contain:
Behavior Patterns: The character's typical actions and responses. Looks and example dialogue as few shots.
World Rules: The rules governing the world in which the character resides.
Setup of the UI in Silly Tavern: This will not be implemented in the structure of RPGGO Play Chat visual. In RPGGO's platform, the play side experiene is fixed in UI and feature structures. See example from any game in game lobby by clicking the play button
Obtain a Character Card: First, you need a character card you wish to transfer.
Find it from Chub. Or other communities.
Transfer to RPGGO: Copy and paste the extracted data into the corresponding columns of the RPGGO Creator Tool.
For example, this character card contains uncategorized info about a specific character, read it, then copy and paste the corresponding information into the RPGGO Creator Tool. This part is self-explanatory.
One thing worth noting is the First Message you find on the character card. Goes onto the Opening Line in the RPGGO Creator Tool. This will determine the behavior pattern of the AI during the gameplay. You can make your adjustment according to your preference anywhere, anytime.
Sometimes, the writer will provide some example dialog. It serves as a few shots for AI. You can put the example dialog in the lore list, just remember to add the example dialog tag!
Once you’ve completed these steps, your character is ready to go on the RPGGO game platform!
