Frequently Asked Questions
GENERAL
Q: Is this product free to use?
Chat with NPCs is free. If you want to access multi-modal features, image / voice, this requires GG Coins, which can be recharged or earned through game creation.
Q: Does RPGGO AI have an app?
Currently, no. Our website can be added as an app on your phone by adding it onto the home screen. We did some compatible work to make it run smoothly.
PLAYER RELEVANT
Q: Can I set a user persona when talking to the NPC? Can an NPC be used as a persona?
Currently, no. RPGGO is originally designed for game creations, so we take seriously on how the creator sets their player. Recently we are taking a look into adding persona through player side, and this will be released soon in next few versions.
If you are creating a character, you can add the user persona through module page. If you attach the module for user persona to the NPC, the AI will treat you in the way you defined.
We did realize that some product take NPCs' setup into player role, and please send us your thought on this in Discord if you strongly recommend us to make this happen.
Q: What is Boost Experience for?
Boost Experience will be turned on when an advanced AI model is used. Most of the games do not require a switch on model.
Q: Is it possible to edit, retract, or delete messages? No clickable settings for sent messages?
Currently, the message stream cannot be modified. We are working on that!
Q: How to see my chat history?
You can see all the chat history as long as you don't click "restart" in each session.
In addition, we have the list of all your recently play on the homepage.
CREATOR RELEVANT
Q: Why AI does not understand logic and choice designs?
The AI-driven NPCs excels at narrating stories rather than performing logical reasoning or complex calculations. When creating content, think of it as writing a novel outline rather than designing a mechanical operating system.
Q: Does {{user}} work when I am writing descriptions?
If you are asking this question, you might come from another platform with experiences on character design, and you might have asset to be dumped into our system. Welcome to RPGGO, and we hope you can give us more suggestions on how we can improve!
Yes, the prompt understands it. However, the opening line should be reedited into something without brackets. This field will directly print out to your players.
We did make a compatible solution for users from other platform. See more at here From Character Card - Silly Tavern / Chub.ai
Q: How does chapter work in a game?
You can put multiple characters in one chapter, and write down your tigger of game goal in field of goal condition
(See more details about how to build effective goal here)
RPGGO has a AI-powered game master which auto-checks whether the player accomplishes the goal and move to the next chapter.
Then, your game will be proceed through chapter to chapter in a linear way.
Q: How does the game detect which character is the game master?
First off, you need to put down the words: "you are a game master" in the background of your character, and then the NPC will know it. Then, the AI Game Master, on the RPGGO engine side will detect its role, acknowledging who in the game is controlling the progress. Check for some templates we provided in the creator panel on how to build a game master.
A Game Master role is someone that drives the progress, controlling the path, and outputing the results for current progress. It should be clearly told to the NPC in natural language. See more about the setup here.
You can check these templates:

Q: How to make my other NPCs accompany and respond to the player?
Find Game Info> Reply Mode> Group Chat to let the NPCs auto-reply. On this occasion, all NPCs are aware of each other's chat in the chatroom.
Q: How many characters can I put in a single chapter?
There is no clear limit to the number. However, less than 6 characters is recommended. It is the best for sharing memories and receiving responses in group chat.
UI RELEVANT
Q: What does "XX played" next to the creator's username mean?
It's how many times your game has been played. (different from some platform they use XX chats)
If you have a game or a character private only
, the number means times played by yourself solely. If the game/character is public, the number means the total times played by all users.

GG Coins are spent when certain features are triggered.
You can turn off the "GG Plus" features by clicking on Image Streaming, NPC Voice, and Boost Experience before or during game in the game detail page.
